Hot cells GMP-S1

The hot cells line GMP-S1 is dedicated to development of non-conventional radionuclides for both imaging and therapy. It is composed of 5 hot cells:

• 1 receiving cell connected to the irradiation beam lines
• 2 radiochemistry hot cells
• 1 radiolabeling hot cell
• 1 dispensing hot cell

Characteristics

All hot cells have 15 cm thick lead shielding but the dispensing one that have 10 cm thick lead shielding.

Each cell is equipped with a heavy load telemanipulator by CRL and a ball tong. The dispensing cell is equipped with a dose calibrator

Principle of operation and applications

Each cell is dedicated to a given isotope.

Max activity accepted inside a cell depends on the radiation emission of each radionuclide.
